I really enjoyed "27 Jennifers". I thought it was an interesting take on cloning and I liked the way Josh handled the grouping of the clones and the different relationships between them. Good job!

Big - Oh, I see! Not in the show notes. I am no match for your logical skillz, Big.

Liz - Your ghost story is on my to-listen list (have you podcast both of them, or have you not released one yet?). My ears are currently over-booked. Sadly, they actually make anesthesia audio, which means it's now competing with podcasts for ear-time, but boards too shall pass.

Oh, and you have thought about releasing it on Podiobooks? 'Cause I get an awful lot of listeners coming from there.

Thanks, Abbie!
I have written 2 novellas - both female, both wack. Most of the female characters I write are unbalanced, although so far only one of them has actually committed murder. I write mostly from a male POV, and usually that man is between 50-70 years old. I can't begin to fathom why.

Now I'm completely jazzed about OSSE - I've written 2100 words already. I didn't think I had it in me to write horror, but then I remembered the first story I ever wrote was in 7th grade. A little piece called "The Killer Dog" about a rogue Irish wolfhound.

Great episode! I enjoyed all three of these a lot. I think Liz's was actually my favorite. Body snatchers operating under some kind of a Avon system is just awesome.

The girls writing guys/ guys writing girls thing is interesting to me. I've written 4 large books, and only one of them has a female protagonist. It was the third, and it was a conscious decision. I was distressed when I noticed (in college) that I hadn't written a female protag yet, and I decided to do it. With the 4th, I returned in relief to a male protagonist, although I think the 5th will be a female.

I have lots of theories about why this is. When I was 14 and started writing novels, it never occurred to me to write a female protagonist. The idea just did not cross my mind, either with that book or the next. I think it's because I never sympathized with the girls in any of the books I read growing up. The characters I liked, the ones who made sense to me were the guys. I think there are a lot of female writers who think this way, although it can't be the whole story because there are men (though not as many of them, I think) who primarily write women.

Hey, I thought you guys were going to put a link to all the stories up. I don't see it? Am I just blind? This is possible. Direct me.

Wrong turn = very entertaining.
27 Jennifers = made my head spin. Probably shouldn't get my classroom ready while listening to something that complicated. I'll have to give it another listen. But now I'm enjoying Mike Doughty! A most excellent reading, though. Would that I could sound like that. Instead I'm chock full of cartoon voices.

I agree about my title (WOYSD) - I tagged it on at the last minute. I would gladly entertain a better title. And the percentages - Not well thought out on my part. Most def need a structure that keeps them there for a long time, like the mates that worked on whaling vessels. They always ended up owing more $$ than they made.
But the reading was fantastic! I was so proud of the story when I heard it done. More than when it was just in print.

I am now chomping on the bit for the OSSE. I've got an idea ready to go.

And Rish - you finally got my name right. Hats off.
