If my brothers or I ever talked to our pops in that way, we’d have watched the whole alien invasion thing on a hospital room TV set. Hopefully, the ones who stay in the stadium get, like, immortality hats or can-screw-anybody belts or something. Maybe the Martians say, “What? This is all that showed up? Wow, we’re gonna burn through a lot of death rays punishing everybody who didn’t obey our message.” Hope so, anyway.
