Episode 77: Anniversary Episode
The Dunesteef has been around for two years now, making this the longest relationship Rish has ever maintained. He and Big say a few words about the podcast, present absolutely no stories, and finally get to the questions listeners sent in back when the world was new.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us out over this first two years.

Great story! haha, just kidding. Congrats on 2 years, guys. I like Announcer Man. If he were gone, there would be a hole in my life.

Uh… if this is a joke it’s not funny! The download does not work, at least from Korea. :'(

Yeah, same here from Australia (Australia Australia We love you Amen), the link isn’t working :(

Maybe the link here is bad. My version was fine, but I’m subscribed through itunes.

Sorry, guys, there was definitely a bad link in the last update. Big’s on vacation for the next few days, but I sent him an email, and he’ll fix it as soon as he has access to a computer. I suppose I could call him, but he’s in Canada, and the world could well end if I contact him there.
If I could fix it myself, I would, but I’m at Comic-Con right now, and hence am too depressed to do anything constructive.

Congratulations. You guys should be proud of what you have made, and I’m glad some feedback over the years had made you feel that ways. I discovered the Dunesteef because I follow Cory Doctorow on Twitter; afterwards I went back deeper into the archives until your Christmas episode. I love the stories, and enjoy the conversations afterward.
Listen, I can’t tell you how many projects my best friend and I have said “yeah, we’re totally going to do that, and stick with it!” that have just been dead on arrival. The sheer amount of audio content that you guys have put out together–and that’s just the stuff that makes it to the podcast, not counting stuff that is lost or edited out–is enormous. That fact alone, and the fact that you’ve stuck to it for two years, is enough to be proud of. It also helps that you’ve helped promote good genre fiction as well!
Here’s to the first two years :)

Sorry, everybody, I screwed the link up. But it’s fixed now, so it should be download-able for everyone, no matter what country you may be living in. Thanks for your patience.

Congratulations on your anniversary! That’s awesome about the Doctorow comment. I thought the Dunesteef version of A Place so Foreign was excellent–both the story itself and your take on it. It’s terrific he thought so too (and that you got new listeners, like Adam, because of it!).

Good episode, but would have been better if it ended with a ninja battle, with flaming swords, and ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ -style fight scenes. Get on that for next time would you. ;)
Congrats.

I’m really going to miss the volume, issue and page number! I don’t care what Optimus says! Maybe we like being confused…

Ok, enjoyed the anniversary episode but am in need of my Dunesteef fix. Come on man, I got the shakes real bad. I feel naseus, hot and cold all day. Please man, just one story that’s all I ask. Really I don’t mean to bother you, it’s just that I’ve tried listening to other podcasts and they just don’t do it for me. ……need. my. Dunesteef…..,,, ahhhhhh…….

If your comment is at all serious, you make me want to be a better man.
Or another movie quote that’s actually appropriate here.
Big and I are struggling to get back on schedule, each of us editing a story separately and having Liz and Bryan each do one, so that when we’re done, we’ll have four full shows ready to go. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer.

Maybe “You complete me,” is a movie quote that’s actually appropriate? Or, “With great power comes great responsibility?”

I am completely serious. My life was so good when I first found your podcast and had numerous issues to listen to. Alas, all good things must come to an end, I caught up to the currant episode a long time ago….I hope you realize the huge problem you are creating, the enormous drain on society as yet another form of addicts are created and left to wonder about, sometimes on iTunes, other times on Podiobooks. It all doesn’t matter anyway it isn’t the real thing, kinda like trying to switch margerine for butter. YUCK.

Listen to them, they’re dying, Artoo! Oh, curse my metal body, I wasn’t fast enough!

Congratulations Gentlemen, here’s looking forward to the next two years (and beyond).

Well, a very big congrats all around. And I’m with Samantha. Go with the ninja fight–at the end, in the middle, anywhere!
Well-done. Thank you for all the hard work!
