Episode 87: Sleepless Afternoon by Rish Outfield
Happy Halloween, boys and ghouls. It’s a bonus episode for the holiday season!
A father is awakened by the frightened cries of his child. Will he allay the boy’s fears and get a little sleep? outtakes
Afterward, Big and Rish talk about the failed initial intention of this story, and give a sort of state of the podcast address. If you’re good, there will be no singing.
Oh, and by the way, it’s coming down to the wire. Finish up those OSSE Stories. We can’t wait to see them.

Dude, I would… well, I wouldn’t kill anyone, but I’d definitely commit assault at least for a 33% acceptance rate. According to Duotrope, I’ve got a 3% acceptance rate for the last 12 months.

Norm Sherman you guys are not, but that Pumpkin Song in the end was _precious_. Absolutely great.
The story was not bad, either

LOL Hilarious! and 33% is batting them out of the park. It means you’re doing a good job of figuring out which markets will like your stuff so that you don’t have to to through the dozen who wouldn’t. Thanks for the cameo! :D

Hey guys,
The story was a cute idea and lot’s of familiar references. Thanks for sharing that with us, Rish. I have to admit I didn’t listen to the outro comments on this one.
However, I did scrape together a li’l donation for you guys because I so loved The Boy of the Ozarks and We Got Back the Lights and Tattletale and Chemo. Keep up the good work.

I enjoyed the story and all it’s little ‘in’ references a lot… but I have to say… the duet at the end was… just… f***ing priceless. It’s been a long week of overtime at work and I was drained and grumpy and then the podcast got to the point and I was giggling like a schoolgirl. It made my whole night. So thanks guys!

Just listened to this today and was introduced to the ‘get off the schneid’ term, thankfully. Chris Berman just used it in reference to the Buffalo Bills win yesterday, and I would have been totally confused if you your podcast wasn’t so darned educational!
