Episode 136: CHEMO: The Pieces Of Erica Smith by J.M. Perkins

Posted in Action, Horror, J.M. Perkins, Science Fiction, Short Story on October 29, 2012 by dunesteef

It’s only been two months since Agent Joseph faced masses of zombies while locked inside of a prison. Now, he has a new mission. This one is so big that half of all CHEMO is being mobilized. They have to destroy every last piece of the immortal cell line that spawned out of a tumor grown on a woman named Erica Smith.

Afterwards, Big and Rish talk CHEMO, get a lot of text messages, and giggle far more than is professionally acceptable. Beware, there’s probably something offensive in all of that…we’re not sure what, but we’re pretty sure it’s there.

Special thanks to Wendy Cooper for producing today’s story, and to Clay Dugger for lending his voice to today’s episode.

Episode 135: Harlan’s Wake by John Mierau

Posted in Drama, John Mierau, Science Fiction, Short Story on October 11, 2012 by dunesteef

Tyler left home to serve in the military. He was assigned to the security detail for the alien visitors known as Silvers. Nothing could be more shameful in the eyes of his family. You never really can leave home, though. Tyler’s father, Harlan, is dying, and he is called back to be there for his final hours. Tyler thinks he knows what awaits him at the family farm, but he couldn’t be more wrong…

In a first for the show, Big and Rish have the producer of the episode, Bryan Lincoln, as a very special guest star. They talk about the production, its challenges, and how this story is unlike all the episodes that came before it. They’re demons, Lenny!

Special thanks to Bryan Lincoln for producing today’s story, and to Kathryn Pride, Tobias Queen, Tom Merritt, Larry Bailey, David Robison, Brion Humphrey, James David Jackson, David Mastin, and Bryan Lincoln for lending their voices to today’s episode.
