SCARIER

Just in time for Halloween, Rish brings us another barbecue sketch . . . only without the barbecue. A trio of friends gather around the campfire to tell “Increasingly Scarier Stories To Tell In The Dark.”

Afterward, join Big and Rish as they talk o–what, you’ve already turned it off? Oh.

Episode 201: Ten Year Anniversary Question And Answer – Part 2

Posted in Big Anklevich, Rish Outfield on September 16, 2018 by dunesteef

EP201

Here it is, part two of that big listener submitted question and answer session. More of the things you never wanted to know about the Dunesteef…except that big teaser about Announcer Man finally revealed.

Again, a very special thanks to everyone who helped us out over the last ten years, without all of your help the show wouldn’t have made it past its two year anniversary tops, and we’d probably be having some kind of Kickstarter to relaunch it right now. You guys are the greatest.

BAG

Clint got detention for giving Byron Lincoln a purple nurple in class, but that’s not the reason he needed to talk to his parents. No, Clint needs to come out to them about something that he has finally come to terms with. It’s time to let it out of the bag…

Afterward, Big and Rish talk about the Dunesteef show, and what you might be able to look forward to from them in the future.

Episode 197: Sin Of Admission by Rish Outfield

Posted in Audio Drama, Rish Outfield on December 12, 2017 by dunesteef

Admission

A married couple finally gets a well-deserved night out at one of their favorite restaurants. It’s been a while since they’ve really talked, so they decide to really break that ice by admitting to some of those things that they’ve never said to each other. But then a seemingly trivial admission turns out to not be so trivial after all…

Afterward, Big and Rish talk about Pride and Prejudice, the various versions out there, and, of course, the dreamy Colin Firth.

like a good neighbor

We conclude our presentation of “Like A Good Neighbor.” AKA many things. Lara spends more time with Old Widow Holcomb, learning spells and finding out more about her. And where it stops, nobody knows!

Afterward, Big and Rish talk about endings, story length and decisions, and knowing when to walk away (and knowing when to run).

Oh, and here’s a link to the “announcement episode” of That Gets My Goat they refer to.

like a good neighbor

When Lara Demming awakens at night, she discovers Old Lady Holcomb next door is more than she appears to be.

Afterward, Rish and Big talk about the few things that they can after only reaching the halfway point of a story. So, they discuss the origin of the tale, and the many iterations of the title.

Note: the title Rish could not remember was “Believe It Or Not.” Yeah.

Special thanks to Bria Burton for playing ALL of the female characters in this story! Way to kick some sass, honey!

Episode 186: The Dune Steef Project

Posted in Big Anklevich, Horror, Rish Outfield on October 30, 2016 by dunesteef

project

In the tradition of those “Ghost Hunters” shows and possibly BLAIR WITCH, we bring you “The Dune Steef Project.” Rish and Big brave a visit to his uncle’s purportedly-haunted house to spend a couple of hours podcasting and seeing what might go bump in the night. Will they uncover evidence of an actual supernatural presence, or will this end up being, well, like those “Ghost Hunters” shows and BLAIR WITCH?

Happy Halloween!

Special thanks to Gino Moretto for providing the art and Chris and Tena Kolakowski for music and other assistance with today’s episode.
