Afterward, Big and Rish seem to have forgotten what show they’re on, as they talk about New Year’s Resolutions, writing goals, and give R080T ample opportunity to play the sad music. outtakes

Episode 94: Catastrophe Baker And A Canticle For Leibowitz by Mike Resnick

Posted in Comedy, Mike Resnick, Science Fiction, Short Story, Western on March 3, 2011 by dunesteef

Mike Resnick, king of tearjerkers, brings us a different kind of story…
Outtakes
Catastrophe Baker. The toughest, meanest, proudest, strongest, fastest, smoothest man in any room. No one in the galaxy is better with a swinging fist. Or a swinging woman. In this week’s adventure, Catastrophe is in a race against time to retrieve a priceless canticle…whatever that is.

Also, Big and Rish talk about the Parsec Awards, Voluptua Von Climax, and matching wits against gurus.

Special thanks Julie Hoverson and R.E. Chambliss for lending their voices to today’s episode.

Episode 56: Casts A Demon Shadow by Derek J. Goodman

Posted in Action, Adventure, Derek J. Goodman, Drama, Novelette, Western on December 17, 2009 by dunesteef

The lads are excited to present the first novelette on the Dunesteef. In the Old West town of Ogre Ridge, heavy-drinking, broken-hearted Cassie Grant finds herself in the middle of two powerful feuding families. Magical, necromancer families. Cassie won’t last for very long, unless she has help. Supernatural help.

Afterward, Big and Rish talk a little bit about story length and Westerns, and a lot about, well, an array of rambling topics. An embarrassing array.

Special thanks to Julie Hoverson for lending her voice to the story.
